On Cloud Nine. That’s where the children of the Investigators classroom were when they returned from lunch and the recent authors signing. This was the power of authentic recognition. It was not arbitrary grades or artificial smilies that made these children feel on top of the world. It was the fact that over 30 adults came to see their writing.
The results have been long lasting. I have seen an uptick in interest in writing and of the students. Many students began another story first thing when we returned back to the classroom. Additionally, a couple students finished books that they had been only partially completing. That happened because of you coming and reading our stories.
Thank you for helping me be a better teacher and making our classroom a better learning environment.
